What is Non Electric Tattooing ?

Also called handpoke or stick and poke, these are tattoos that are Americana or western style permanent marks made by hand through a series of dot like marks. The tools used are all county approved tattoo materials and the marks are just as permanent as electric tattoos. Aside from stylistic preferences there are some benefits of handpoked tattoos!

The healing time is significantly shorter and less invasive as handpoke tattoos create less skin trauma.

In certain places handpokes have the potential to last longer and heal better because the healing time is more lax.

What is the process for ornamentation and intimate tattoos like?

We will discuss design motivations and influences prior to your appointment. When we start I will clean you off and begin to free hand the design on you. The design will be customized to your anatomy and specifications. The drawing will be made by layering different colored markers and will look somewhat crude, however we can adjust as needed and if you appreciate my style and trust the process I assure you we will make something you’re happy with,

Do you repeat flash?

No, however for my ornamentation projects we are able to reuse some designs. No two people have the same anatomy so no two people will have the same tattoo.

Can I use numbing tattoo cream?

No, these can affect the healing of the tattoo. However, once the tattoo has started I have a lidocaine solution that can help make you more comfortable.

Do you do coverups?

Not usually, but I do do blast overs and occasionally rework tattoos.

Do you tattoo minors?
